Job Description:

Dutchess Community College seeks a talented Head Women's Basketball Coach to join the growing athletic department for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Head Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for the organization, administration, and coaching of the Women's Basketball program, including supervising staff and student-athletes.

Duties:

• Execute a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching "sport."

• Recruit sufficiently qualified student-athletes.

• Effectively execute fundraising activities, including camps and clinics to help meet teams' financial goals.

• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and provide support.

• Scout and prepare team for competition.

• Comply with College, NJCAA, Region 15, and Mid-Hudson Conference rules and regulations and all other aspects of directing a quality intercollegiate basketball program.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years of basketball coaching experience at the high school level.

• Valid NY Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years of basketball coaching at the collegiate level.

Additional Information:

The position of Women's Basketball Head Coach is a permanent, part-time position.

Working Conditions:

• The performance of this work is in-person and on-site.

• Flexible hours required.

• Some travel will be necessary.

Salary:

$8250 per season
