Wok is typically the highest position to achieve on our kitchen cook line. They are considered the powerhouse of the kitchen department.
Wok chefs skillfully execute cooking procedures, and are responsible for cooking the majority of our kitchen menu, in a timely manner. Wok chefs must keep item completion time to a minimum so that our restaurant can continue to produce in high volume with limited wait times for our guests. Food quality and presentation are top priorities for our chefs.
Prepares all food items to order and follows standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
Learn all recipes and accurately identify ingredients to determine required cooking procedures
Using the proper tools, measure, mix, and prepare all sauces as
Prep assigned items
Washes and cleans raw food products
Minimizes waste of product
Labels all food items for food safety and shelf-life standards
Rotates product according to FIFO standards
Keep the wok area neat, clean and sanitary
Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards
Assists in an entire team effort
Equipment maintenance and cleanliness
Lead the team mostly leaders/shift leaders
In charge of delivery orders
Cook kitchen items using a wok
