Novant Health is hiring for a Wound Ostomy Services registered nurse for the day shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, North Carolina. We're offering up to a $7,500 sign-on bonus as well as $7,500 relocation.

We're seeking a registered nurse to join our Wound Ostomy Services team! This is an inpatient setting where you will assist with wound care and a treatment plan, ostomy care for pre and post op cases, and consult with nurses and physicians on different plans of care. Our unit fosters continued learning and education, where you will obtain a WOC Certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.

• Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.

• BLS certification required.

• Current WOC Certification, or willing to complete through Novant's provided course.

• One-year or more of relevant or acute care experience preferred.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

• Consult with nurses and physicians on patients' plan of care.

• Administer wound care treatment and prevention.

• Assist and manage ostomy care for pre-op and post-op patients.

• Educate patients and their families on care/treatment instructions.
