Job Description Summary

Seasoned Professional contributor works independently with limited supervision. The WMG Relationship Manager is the first initial point of contact and the primary contact to bank of the West's highest income / net worth client's portfolio with a focus on $250k affluent and $ 3.5M high net worth. The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients; maximizing client engagement by assessing, understanding, and identifying clients banking needs and providing or arranging a wide array of wealth advice.

Essential Job Functions

  • Acts as the main point of contact for affluent and high end net worth clients for Wealth Management.

  • Demonstrates solid business development skills by acquiring profitable client relationships with high income/net worth clients of Wealth Management.

  • Responsible for identifying client needs and ensuring needs are met by utilizing investments, insurance, Daily Banking, Credit or Other relevant products, in connection with clients tax, legal and estate planning professionals.

  • Expands client portfolio through referrals to Fiduciary Officers, Portfolio Managers, BWIS Representatives, Real Estate, Tax and Estate Officers.

  • Responsible for following up to ensure all banking services provided to clients exceed their expectations.

  • Expands and builds relationship with client by proactively monitoring client's portfolio.

  • Provides clients a high level of consultative financial advice by using the full range of banking products and services designed for the affluent / high-end private customer needs.

  • Ensures all documentation is up to date, complete and in compliance with all policies, regulations, laws and procedures.

Required Experience

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • May have practical knowledge of project management.

  • Requires 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Bus Admin or related field

Licenses & Certifications

Skills

  • Solid knowledge of financial products and services for the ultra-high end net worth individual market.

  • Solid knowledge of consumer lending; credit, documentation and portfolio management Solid knowledge of brokerage and investment products Intermediate software application experience.

Establishes and maintains a "trusted advisor" relationship with clients based on knowledgeable advice that is aligned to the clients' business objectives and lifecycle. Develops and grows new business and builds/maintains strong relationships with prospects. Drives financial performance through profitable revenue and growth, and quality credit. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned. * Achieves individual annual production and growth goals for loan, deposits and fees to ensure the bank meets its overall financial targets and conforms to credit terms. * Uses the Dashboard to track performance. * Initiates and develops new business through outside business development activities and by supporting CML Relationship Managers with SBA loan requests within designated market. Ensures ongoing contact with new clients to enhance client's experience with FIB. * Deliver SBA Loan Program training to Branches and other Relationship Managers to promote program benefits and generate lending opportunities. * Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client's needs based on the review and analysis of personal bank business financial data gathered through relationship reviews and personal meetings. (Where appropriate, uses 360View to document activities.) * Actively participates in community organizations to source business development opportunities and demonstrates First Interstate Bank's commitment to the communities we serve. * Builds client referral pipeline via identification and development of internal and external center of influence. * Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of Bank and SBA products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Proactively promotes bank products and services and keeps clients informed of all the financial solutions FIB has to meet their needs. * Partners consistently with other internal business partners to uncover opportunities to deepen the client relationship. Acting as SBA resource in designated market; working with business partner and client to obtain necessary information to ensure a complete SBA credit application is obtained. * Works on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of client information. * Makes decisions on loans and terms within established lending limits. Analyzes credit to determine the ability of clients to qualify for borrowing requirements. * Maintains follow up on existing loans to ensure compliance with internal procedures and other required terms. * Research and study industrial, commercial, economic and financial situations relating to existing and new business. * Maintain compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. * Keeps up to date on regulation changes, including SBA SOP and Program guidelines . * Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual training. * May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others. * Actively engages, demonstrates and fosters the First Interstate Bank Mission, Vision and Values by executing the Service Commitments.
