WM Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The WMS Manger is responsible for providing overall support of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Works with Cubiscan/new sku/slotting SOP.

• Performs sortable/non sortable flag maintenance for all skus.

• Maintains and updates all sku and location attributes to include but not limited to:

• Sku dedication type

• Determination zone

• Inventory type

• Locked flag

• Replen flag

• Location size type

• Assignment zone

• Min/max

• Group code

• Put away type

• Assignment type

• Pick to light flagging

• Picks mod slotting and profiling:

• Ensures all eligible skus with inventory on hand are slotted in permanent locations.

• Continually updates and cleans dynamic locations as needed.

• Profiles to improve picking efficiencies through pick line balancing.

• Maintains and minimizes no records.

• Configures WM to optimize WM capabilities to include but not limited to:

• Directed putaway

• Task driven cycle counts

• Waving

• Task driven replen

• Creation of Case pick locations

• Batch picking

• Bulk picking/pack complete waving

• RF Menu maintenance

• Configuration maintenance

• Performs SOP updates and creations, WM Enhancements, and location compliance audits

• Manages all master data changes in the system for facility personnel.

• Supervises the Wave Planners as well as other associates as needed for system projects.

• Reports on key metrics on a scheduled basis.

• Performs advanced setup for the facility.

• Trains outfitters on the use and maintenance of the WMS system.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum 2 to 3 years related experience

• Manhattan highly desired

• APICS certification preferred.

• Experience with WMS and ERP system preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access

• Good verbal and written communication skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly walking and standing.

• Occasionally sitting, computer work, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
