  • Successfully assemble, install, and wire to completion equipment used in the railroad signaling industry including signal equipment enclosures and associated sub-components, wayside signals, switch machines, meter services, and power distribution cases.

  • Must be able to read railroad signal design blueprints and translate the information to successfully assemble and wire these items according to predetermined standards while maintaining compliance with safety procedures.

VIEW JOBS 6/3/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-09-01T00:00 Waste Water TechnicianLocation: Jacksonville, FL Job Description: Operate and maintain the waste water continuous flow pretreatment plant. Test and pre-treat waste waters prior to discharge or shipping, and support waste management and chemical operations. Support production operations through distribution of chemicals, operations of the ion-exchange water purification system, collection and handling of waste chemicals, and environmental/safety related activities.Reports To: EHS ManagerDuties and Responsibilities: * Operate and maintain the waste water continuous flow pretreatment plant, and ensure that the system is clean, and all discharge parameters are within the set limits of the current industrial permit. * Use chemical analysis to characterize waste water. This may include periodic jar testing, pH meter calibration, and operations of an atomic absorption equipment. * Use chemicals, pumps, tanks and valves, and other means to reduce contaminates in waste water prior to discharge or shipment. * Use various chemical analysis techniques to test and diagnose operation of ion exchange water purification system. * Provide chemical analysis to support hazardous waste management operations. * Check chemical inventory for assurance of sufficient supply. * Assist in defining the proper PPE for all chemicals in the areas of work * Maintain records required by industrial sewer and other chemical-or waste related permits. * Maintain hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal profiles. * Audit chemical control procedures in all areas. * Assist and advise the On-Scene Incident Commander during your planning and emergency response. * Inspect condition of waste containers and transfer of content if necessary. * Collect reclaim, non-hazardous/hazardous waste, and prepare all shipping documentation (i.e. LDR,s manifests, and BOL). Communicate with TSDT on all waste matters. * Collect samples of material for analysis to characterize waste, and determine proper disposal methods. * Assist department Manager with assessments of environmental and safety operations, services, and systems. * Emergency response related to chemical mishaps, and hazardous waste spills. Job Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent. AS degree preferred * 3-5 years experience in EHS * Equipment Maintenance Background * Experience with Waste Water Treatment * Hazwoper, Hazmat, and Hazardous Waste Management Certifications * Active Forklift license * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Computer adept with ability to work with spreadsheets * This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 CFR 20.15 is required.
