The Project Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the deployment team, external vendors and internal personnel. The Project Manager is responsible for accomplishing project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. The preceding must be done in a manner consistent with our processes and specifications while always maintaining an aggressive timeline for execution. The Project Manager is expected to be able to work effectively and efficiently across multiple internal departments, including but not limited to Real Estate, Sales, Legal and Accounting.
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Manage multiple market projects from ring issuance through construction.
  • Oversee reporting generated from vendors and Siterra.
  • Continually expand and develop already existing knowledge regarding site acquisition, due diligence, design and construction associated with tower development.
  • Work closely with and develop strong working relationships with other internal departments and external contractors/customers facilitating the overall tower development process.
  • Always be aware of and capable of maintaining the necessarily aggressive timelines telecommunications deployment requires.
  • Participate with other company staff in project and process reviews to provide ongoing improvement to company processes.
  • Participate in all deployment meetings.
  • Assist in the development of tracking tools and IT requirements to track and monitor tower development.
  • Prior management experience in the wireless industry required
  • Creative and strategic mindset indicating capabilities to resolve problematic issues regularly arising in telecommunications deployment required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Power Point
  • Ability to provide clear direction to multiple sources on multiple projects
  • Present willingness to perform tasks beyond standard goals and objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
  • Safe driving record and own transportation
  • Valid drivers license
  • Required, minimum 5 years of management experience in telecommunications
  • College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience

The Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) Project Management Group provides project management services to clients with qualified project management professionals that lead GTI programs and projects using standard project management execution practices, tools and templates. As a GTI Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for the management of complex technology-related programs and projects including Line of Business (LOB) Technology demand, end user, network, distributed, cloud, mainframe, and software related services and technologies. These projects support the growth and operational stability of the JPMC business in addition to delivering enhanced technology and cost reductions in the operating environment. This role is involved in the different stages of the success of a project including: funding, planning, scheduling, implementation, communication, and reporting. This individual will be driving the delivery of projects in the portfolio across all services working closely with multiple GTI & LOB technology teams while interfacing with senior managers and stakeholders in the organization. Strong leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to remain calm and perform under pressure are a must. Key Responsibilities: * Managing complex medium to large projects across multiple locations and GTI services. * Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the agreed scope. * Develop, obtain approval for, and track business case financials throughout the duration of the project. * Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. * Detect and manage issues through to resolution. * Escalate project risk and issues to executive stakeholders in a timely manner. * Define and clarify project objectives, requirements, and goals. * Develop scope and deliverables. * Build timelines and set project milestones. * Identify project benefits and establish project success criteria. * Define, secure, and coordinate resource requirements for the design, planning, and implementation of the project. * Manage regular weekly project status reporting in accordance with PM standards and compliance with GTI PM Project Delivery Performance Metrics (Weekly reports, Financials, Actual vs budgets, etc.). * Chair and facilitate steering committee meetings with senior executives and stakeholders. * Supervise the project team and manage communications to all project stakeholders. * Establish and maintain working relationships with senior technology management, business management, program sponsors, vendors, and business clients. * Identify and raise awareness of opportunities for improvement in project management practice, project specific delivery, and other areas outside of project management to increase efficiency in the organization and support a culture of continuous improvement. * Ensure Business Resiliency, IT Risk Management, compliance, and cyber security are raised and considered for all projects managed. * Adherence at all times to JPMC company standards, procedures, and policies. * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience. * 7+ years of experience working within an IT project environment with at least five years project management experience with a proven record of ownership, accountability and evidence of driving the successful delivery of complex technology-based projects on time and within budget. * Experience working in an Agile environment; JIRA experience is a plus. * Proven experience in managing projects through all phases of the life cycle and solid working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology from initiation to go-live and project closure. * Solid knowledge and experience of industry standard project management tools for financial and project reporting.
