Client seeking a Wireless Network Engineer for a Full Time or Contract with Option to Hire position in the San Bernardino, CA area.

Must have strong experience with Aruba (not just implementation but manage and maintain them).
The Information Technology (IT) department for the Client provides and supports a leading-edge technology infrastructure to the organization in support of ever changing technological advances in the Gaming industry and the Tribe's business enterprises. The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is key to the success of the IT staff to meet the demands of this technically proficient and high demand department.
The Wireless Network Engineer plays a critical role in the design, installation, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the wireless infrastructure network of the IT organization. Under the direction of the Director of IT Operations, the Wireless Network Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a large multisite wireless infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design, install, test, implement, and maintain the Wireless network for optimal performance.
Oversee all outside consultants/vendors while working on wireless projects; provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch.
Optimize existing wireless networks by adjusting radio network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems.
Work with internal staff and outside vendors to design future wireless networks; study and evaluate new wireless technologies and their potential application benefits to our network and suggest enhancements as appropriate.
Serve as a backup to the Senior Network Engineer in the administration and troubleshooting of the network.
Configure, install, and troubleshoot centralized network infrastructure such as routers, hubs, switches, etc.
Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability.
Monitor and analyze statistical and drive test data to improve system performance indicators.
Recommend site upgrades.
Engineer solutions to integrate wireless LAN coverage into new facilities.
Train and mentor other network engineers.
Create manuals and support documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Critical Thinking (Problem Solving)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, preferably with an emphasis in Information Technology Wireless Networking.
Must possess two (2) years of overall data network experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
Hands-on experience with Aruba devices highly preferred.
Experience developing and implementing wired and wireless Guest networks required.
Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of IP protocols, firewalls, and routers is essential.
Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting centralized network infrastructure such as routers, hubs, switches, etc. is mandatory.
In depth experience completing indoor/outdoor wireless surveys, implementations and support is required.
Must possess a keen understanding of wireless network design utilizing the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards.
Must have experience with the installation and support of Aruba indoor access points: 100, 103, 110, 120, 130, 200, 210 and 220 series; Aruba branch office access points: RAP-3, Rap-100, Rap-155, 103H series; Aruba outdoor assess points: 85, 175, 270 series; Aruba controllers: M3 6000, 620, 650, 3200, 3400, 3600, 7010, 7030, 7210, 7220, 7240 Series Controllers.
Working Knowledge with Aruba Networks Management products such as ClearPass (Guest, Policy Manager and Onboarding).
Hands on experience with Aruba AirWave and IDS/IPS Controls required.
Experience with Aruba Beacons/Meridian a plus.
Experience with Cisco 6500, 3750, 2960, 2900 series switches is required.
Keen knowledge working with Wireless Mesh Technologies required.
Must have experience with 802.1x, NPS, Certificate Authority.
Ideal candidate will possess experience developing and implementing BYOD strategies.
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Class "A" Gaming license issued by the Gaming Commission.
MCSE, ACMA, ACMP, ACMX, ACDX, ACCA, ACCP, ACSP and/or CCNA preferred.
CCENT certification highly preferred.
