Provide technical support to the US Army Medical Information
Technology Center (USAMITC) Medical Network Operations and Security Center (MEDNOSC) Wireless Network Engineering Team (WLAN) for the deployment, configuration, operation, and sustainment of Guest Wireless Local Area Network (GWLAN) (i.e. Guest Wi-Fi) services at US Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), clinics and other MEDCOM designated locations. Such CSPs shall be accountable solely to the contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government.
The current WLAN environment contains hardware components from multiple vendors such as, but not limited to Aruba, Cisco, Trapeze, and Microsoft NPS. WLAN software tools currently in use include Airmagnet, Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS), Cisco Prime, Aruba ClearPass, and Aruba Airwave.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS. GWLAN CSPs will require
certification at Information Assurance Technology Level II (IAT II) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) as they provide network environment (NE) and advanced level Computing Environment (CE) support. Certification at
the IAT II level requires an Information Assurance (IA) Baseline Certification and a Computing Environment / Operating System (CE/OS) Certificate. CSPs must be obtain and maintain a valid CE certification prior to starting work. CSPs must obtain and maintain an appropriate CE/OS Certificate within six (6) months of assignment and meet all Continuing Education requirements.
