Job OverviewOverview Qualcomm CDMA Technologies is the largest developer of 3G and 4G communication technology in the world. Our ASIC modem design teams deliver cutting edge hardware and software products across every established wireless standard and protocol.Individuals in this role are responsible for developing our next generation cellular modems in the following technologies: GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, WiFi and 5G.As a Modem Hardware Modeling Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, implementing and unit-testing of various tiers of Hardware models for the Wireless Modem Hardware Data-Paths and Control Plane using advanced modeling techniques. You will develop Models that include behavioral, architectural, performance and cycle-accurate models. You will design the Models in terms of what is modeled vs. whats not modeled, create detailed Model design specifications for partitioning between blocks, sub-blocks and interfaces. You will work with cross-functional teams including Hardware RTL Design team, Hardware DV team, Systems Technology team and Firmware team to define Model APIs to allow them to be integrated into various Platforms where the Models serve as HW DV golden reference, System Performance Validation reference and FW Virtual Prototyping platform.All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
