Wireless Construction Supervisor
We are looking for a solid Wireless Construction Manager in the Houston area to support the South Texas region. This is a field based remote role requiring strong cellular construction expertise in addition to strong computer skills (excel). The ideal candidate will have a strong power background and will be visiting client sites as laid out.
Typical Responsibilities:
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for duties that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Inspects and observes that a Wireless construction project, or an aspect of a construction project, is constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications of the project
  • Identifies unforeseen conditions or errors in the plans or specifications and communicates such to the attention of their supervisor or the client
  • Maintains an accurate set of field notes and daily diary
  • Demonstrates sufficient skills and judgment to successfully complete larger or more complex construction projects
  • Becomes knowledgeable with the pertinent information of a construction project, or aspect of a construction project, including but not limited to the plans and specifications, restrictions and right of ways, permits, test procedures, schedules, shop drawings, utility locations and information
  • Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with construction contractors or subcontractors, and engineering/architectural design team.
  • Supervises less experienced staff
  • Prepares daily reports, takes progress photos, maintains record document information
  • Monitors and records contractors work performance with the contract requirements and conducts final inspections, prepares punch lists, and collects documentation for closing out of contracts
  • Coordinates materials testing, surveying services and other sub professional services that may be required
  • Reviews and recommends progress payments to the contractor

Role Summary: Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Designer – Wellbore Construction supporting Annular Isolation products and development in Houston, TX. The purpose of the Designer is to assist the Wellbore Construction group in the development of new products, work on the creation and fulfillment of product orders, provide support for the existing products, and respond to operations/customer feasibility work. Essential Responsibilities: * Responsible for CAD creation and presentation of parts and products within time guidelines. * Comprehensive knowledge of CAD software, engineering and drafting standards * Independently perform limited component and product design or analysis, as assigned by project technical lead or supervisor. * Complete manufacturing drawings and working layouts for product designs. * Utilize company systems and processes to create purchasing requests, bills of material, and product information sheets. * Work on the fulfillment of product orders, special product modifications, technical and order documentation, and order workflows. * Assist in the preparation of presentation documentation and illustrations for design reviews or product presentations. * Assist in the assembly and lab testing of prototypes, as assigned by project technical lead. * Draft technical manual documentation of new products with review and approval of technical lead or supervisor. * Improve product knowledge through increased familiarization with technical and service manuals and hands on experience. * Handles special projects, as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma with 5+ years drafting experience and 1+ years design experience * Good individual communication skills and good problem solving ability * Should possess extensive 2D & 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred) * Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to work "hands on" in a test lab facility * Ability to manage time effectively, holding to project schedule timelines * Contribute to technical reports and documentation * The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. * Ability to travel to remote field locations and work under less than ideal environmental conditions occasionally.
