Bellmen welcome all guests promptly with a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude to provide a great first impression. Bellmen are responsible for unloading luggage and equipment from guest vehicles/shuttle, delivering or storing luggage, and storing all equipment (skis, bikes, etc.) Bellmen escort guests with luggage to their room, pointing out hotel facilities and explaining features in the accommodations. Bellmen will provide transportation for guests using a company vehicle, and may also valet guest vehicles, therefore a driver's license and impeccable driving record are required. Bellmen perform room deliveries upon request, and also respond to other guest requests and concerns, so bellmen must possess great guest service and problem solving skills. Upon departure, bellmen collect luggage and escort guests to their vehicle, loading all equipment and luggage into the guest's vehicle and wishing them a fond farewell.
Essential Job Functions:
Escorts guests to their rooms and delivers arriving baggage if requested by guest. Moves departing luggage promptly.
Stores baggage for late departures and early arrivals, insuring it is properly tagged.
Keeps the hotel motor lobby and hotel entrance clean.
Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
Transports hotel guests as requested. Washing and fueling company vehicles as needed.
Cleans and keeps in good working order the company vehicle and reports repairs needed to the vehicle maintenance department.
Assigns parking permits to hotel guests and provides valet service when necessary.
Explains features of room such as operation of radio, television, telephone and fire and emergency information
Works closely with the front office to insure guest requests are fulfilled
Porters bags for tour bus groups in a timely fashion.
Performs room deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
Reports luggage/delivery fees to bell captain/FOM to ensure proper posting.
Patrols parking lots/gargaes, logs unathorized vehicles, and immobilizes vehicles when necessary.
Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested including obeying safety policies and procedures and attending safety trainings.
Tags and stores bikes
Tags, stores, and brings back bikes and skis for guests
Cleans and keeps in good working order any company vehicle used
Reports repairs when needed to vehicle maintenance
Assign parking permits to hotel guests and provides valet service when necessary
Watches and replaces items for coffee station including coffee, creamer, cups, ect.
Grabs Cookies from kitchen and returns trays
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Computer Skills, MS Office
Valid driver's license in good standing
Prior hospitality experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills and command of the English language.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings
