We are actively seeking a Project Manager / Marketing Intern for our Summer Internship program. The right candidate is a motivated and talented person with a passion for facilitating communication between external clients and internal teams. You can multitask between several different projects and several different tasks at a time and must be eager to learn and assist. You must also understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels. This is a paid internship with a mandatory group project, and can be used to satisfy school credits. This is a part-time position for 4 months (November - February), with an option to extend to 6 months based on performance and need.


Project Management:

  • Assist project managers with the internal workings of projects.
  • Actively seek out information and learn processes for managing projects.
  • Assist with setting up project calendars, coordinating meetings, and doing research.
  • Assist in QA of design, content and development work.
  • Write and review documents such as briefs, plans, and project notes.
  • Facilitate communication with internal team, clients, vendors and contractors.
  • Become the lead Project Manager on internship group project.

Client Services/Marketing:

  • Social Media content creation (original content), and scheduling across all of WebEnertia's Social Media channels including our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and our Blog.
  • Interact with the community and gather insights and reports to inform performance and future content.
  • Assist with email/newsletter marketing efforts.
  • Assist with ongoing media buys.


  • Enrolled in Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solving.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to work well with others, to establish and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment with limited resources and competing business priorities.

The Project Manager role requires a broad range of leadership, planning, execuation and excellent customer communication skills. The Project Managers role is to provide structure, execution and process improvement to all projects and management of 3rd party vendors for Extreme Network within the Service Delivery organization. Responsibilities * Manages medium complexity internal and customer facing projects as well as managing 3rd party vendors * Ability to create project schedules and plan with financial, resource and UAT requirements. * Develop, set-up and present status updates to Senior Staff members and/or at QBR's * Provides leadership to project staff including support engineers, vendors, partners and/or subcontractors. * Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of any escalated project issues. * Acts as a mentor and coach to Junior Project managers participating on the project. * Project Manager will lead Project teams to deliver multiple, simultaneous projects that span across several business or technology areas. Teams you will work with: * The Service Operations team provides process improvement, data analysis and innovative ways to improve the productivity of our Global Technical Service Center (GTAC) while also improving abilities to our customers through tool enhancements. * 3rd party vendors in ensuring quarterly metrics are met and continual improvement of the processes * The Service Operations team also works projects working with cross functional teams such as the IT, Logistics/Planning and Order Management teams within Extreme Networks. Qualifications * Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent * Anywhere from 5 - 10+ years of experience in a clearly defined Project Management/Project role. * Excellent communication skills * Ability to use computer software tools to create and prepare tracking and status updates of projects * Project Management experience in leading projects within a Technical Support organization and/or IT organization * Desired Skills: Professional PM Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile, SCRUM or equivalent. * Can demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams. * Ability to travel within the United States Extreme Networks, Inc.
