Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a WIN-T WAN Technical Trainer who possesses a DoD Secret clearance. This position will support the Marne Signal University(MSU) at Ft. Stewart, GA providing subject matter expertise in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of training curriculum for Warfighter Readiness systems.


This position is responsible for planning, organizing and maintain a high level of technical and instructional expertise in the subject area assigned. This position will interface with military students to train the latest system curriculum for military training preparedness to setup, configure, operate, and maintain the system in the field. In addition, a successful candidate will use their military training and system experience, combined with their commercial training qualification to inject evolving curriculum with the latest commercial cyber security principals, enabling students to sit for commercial exams at the conclusion of training.

Primary Responsibilities:
Will act as primary instructor for WIN-T WAN.

Curriculum Development:

  • Coordinate with Government customers to identify needs, develop specifications for content of courses, and implement training programs.

  • Adapt training materials into system-specific curriculum to ensure the training program reflects application features

  • Develop course materials and determine appropriate training methods or activities.

  • Update course documentation and user guides on a continuous basis to ensure relevance of system upgrades, evolving functionality, and lessons learned from system usage.

Training Services:

  • Classroom set-up to support each individual class. All classrooms maintained in ready-state prior to the start of each day. Books, equipment and supplies are arranged properly for each student and establish an environment conducive to learning.

  • Using the "train the trainer" curriculum, instruct participants in classroom lectures, labs, and coaching/tutoring to produce competent trainees for all operational aspects for the assigned C4ISR system.

  • Test and evaluate participants to measure their learning progress and the effectiveness of training programs.

  • Follow up to determine applicability of course material, including developing criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

  • Prepare After Action Reports (AARs) detailing the training provided and course statistics including number of students, pass/fail ratio, and student end-of-course survey score.

Cross Training:

  • Participate in formal training and self-instruction / use on complimentary systems and protocols to increase the breadth of systems competency for training and fielding requirements.

Continuing Education:

  • Continue education through self-study and other methods to maintain instructor certification status, as applicable

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 2 or more years of experience. Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) code in lieu of Degree.

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required

  • This position requires the technical understanding and experience with a combination of any of the following required skills: Must have WIN-T (WAN) , WIN-T INC2, IT Networking & Cisco Routing, Advanced Routing, WIN-T Inc1B/EOL, JNN, KG-175D, and Virtualization (VM Ware) experience.

  • Must have a detailed understanding of and experience with WIN-T/WAN systems.

  • Any certifications to include CCNA, CCNA, Security+, and Network+.

  • Obtain and maintain a Pearson Vue Certified Proctor certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pearson Certified Proctor Certification

  • Additional certifications

  • Ability to develop, deliver, and revise training courses/programs

  • Experience with military training

Successful candidates must have demonstrated subject matter expertise in the utilization of Distributed Common Ground System-Army Multifunction Workstation (MFWS) Tools, the DCGS-A Standard Cloud (DSC), and DCGS-A Standard Baseline (DSB) Applications. The candidate shall be a subject matter expert in military intelligence with tactical and/or strategic intelligence analysis experience and must understand military intelligence processes and procedures, including Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) and associated workflows. The successful candidate will demonstrate a detailed understanding of, and shall have demonstrated experience in processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) of intelligence products supporting the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) at the tactical level. The candidates shall teach, coach, and advise analysts in the use of DCGS-A and the replication and management of the DCGS-A databases. Candidates must be knowledgeable of, and be experienced in, the formulation and execution of organizational training programs and Program of Instruction (POI) development and execution; as well as assisting their supported organization in the development of training strategies and plans for the operational employment of DCGS-A capabilities. Candidates shall demonstrate an ability to assess individual and unit level training requirements, identify and evaluate training alternatives, develop training materials, and understand and have demonstrated the ability to conduct a variety of training approaches including traditional classroom, programmed learning, hands-on, simulation, and computer aided training. Candidates must be able to instruct personnel using prepared course materials. General Responsibilities: * Plan and execute a training program for DCGS-A operators, military intelligence analysts, and leaders * Work side-by-side with analysts; helping, enabling, and empowering them to populate the DCGS-A Tactical Entity Database (TED), create intelligence products to support the Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Dissemination (F3EAD) and MDMP processes * Assist their supported organization in the development of training strategies and plans for the operational employment of the DCGS-A Capabilities Required Qualifications: * 10 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree. * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business.
