Windsor has an immediate opening for a Quality Product Specialist to join our Quality Control team here in West Des Moines, IA. This full-time position is responsible for inspecting and ensuring that all finished products meet our established quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review customer feedback and create quality training material; present this material to the production team in a group setting

  • Perform both in-process and final unit inspections against specifications per sampling plan

  • Coach/train production team on opportunities identified during inspections

  • Work with the production team to solve quality opportunities; implement permanent solutions to prevent reoccurrence

  • Perform Standard Operating Procedure audits to verify they are accurate, and they are being performed correctly

  • Inspect purchased materials and issue rejection reports as needed

  • Perform part dimensional qualification, using statistical analysis to determine capability

Knowlegde/Skills:

  • Proficent computer skils, including Microsoft Wordand Excel

  • Use of various measuring equiptment

  • Tape measure, calipers, go/no go gages, optical comparator, etc.
  • Ability to interpret part prints and product specifications to determind compliance

  • Good written and verbal communication, with the ability to multi task

  • Good math skills

  • Good attendance, and the ability to be a self-starter

Hours are 6 am

  • 2:30pm Monday

  • Friday
