What You Will Get To Do:
CACI's Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a multi-faceted Systems Engineer to support a Windows environment through all phases of development to include design, build, implementation, and delivery to operations and maintenance (O&M). As a Windows Systems Engineer, you will perform a wide variety of installations, configurations, and upgrades of servers, laptops, related hardware, software in on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. You will also, conduct research, investigation, diagnostic testing, and the repair or resolution of systems hardware, software, and infrastructure, while adhering to standardized practices and procedures. Additionally, you will perform engineering of video designs and/or changes for new and existing services based on mission requirements, program video systems, and provide technical support and problem resolution to include, but not limited to, in-house video teleconferencing (VTC), digital signage, and television grids.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Interfacing with various teams, supervisors, managers, and clients daily
Developing large project plans, such as a plan to facilitate transition to the latest version of Windows 10 to enterprise clients
Performing systems upgrades of Active Directory, operating systems, applications, and other tools, including evaluation and installation of new products, MS, and other application patches
Contributing to the design and management of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and other Windows core services
Developing more junior engineers and administrators to perform more advanced systems administration and documenting best practices
Managing documentation, as well as policy and procedure compliance for IT systems related to virtualized and Windows environments
You Will Bring These Qualifications:
Experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10 OSs
Experience with or strong knowledge in the design and integration of multiple COTS products
Experience with automated configuration or infrastructure as code tools
Experience creating and managing scripts to perform tasks with scripting languages, such as PowerShell
Experience with a distributed version control system, including GitHub
Ability to work independently, as well as with part of a team and communicate effectively with clients and teammates
Ability to author and update technical documentation on various environments, as needed
Experience installing and maintaining multimedia equipment, network switches, wireless access points, digital signage, related workstations, endpoint devices, software applications, and premise wiring
Assist support and lifecycle management of digital signage components and infrastructure to server / player / displays
Assist support monitoring digital signage / video and access control systems ensuring continuous operation
Assist in the creation and maintenance of system-related documentation to include:
Systems or network drawings
Scopes of work
User procedures and processes
User training materials
Experience with the tenets of Agile software development
Experience with systems security design, including penetration testing, security test automation, and secure coding practices
Experience with developing software or automated systems testing
Knowledge of LAN and WAN environments
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment
Knowledge of implementing enterprise backup and recovery solutions (e.g., NetBackup)
Experience with Visio Professional and/or other diagramming tools
