Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Windows Systems Administrator based out of Redondo Beach.

What You'll get to Do:

You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of classified multi-user computer systems.

Duties will include interaction with users to determine hardware/software requirements and installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and COTS. Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to, evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, and computing asset management. Applicant must be experienced in STIG configuration, classified processing, and security procedures.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 6 years of relevant experience; Masters in a STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant experience; or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a completed degree

  • Systems Administration of Windows Operating Systems

  • Security certification

  • Current DoD Secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) with 10 years of relevant experience; Masters in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a completed degree

  • Systems Administration of Windows Operating Systems

  • Security certification

  • Current DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with remote and local system deployments

  • Familiarity with Linux & Unix Operating Systems, VMware virtualization and management (V-Shpere 5.x or later),

  • Familiarity with NAS and SAN technologies (NetApp SAN, EMC SAN, HP NAS)

  • CISSP or Microsoft OS Certification

What You'll get to Do: Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an experienced systems engineer to join our safety team working on the FAAD/C-RAM C2 program in Redondo Beach, CA. The selected candidate will review requirements and system configurations to determine hazards and potential mitigations of those hazards for users of the FAAD/C-RAM C2 system. Duties require strong collaborative skills in order to work with the extensive cadre of industry partners who interface with our system in order to establish and maintain the appropriate level of rigor for system safety certification. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to ingest large numbers of requirements and quickly distill the list to only the safety critical areas that must be addressed. The candidate must demonstrate superior organizational skills to ensure thoroughness of verifying that all safety requirements are met and sold off.
