Northrop Grumman is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to join our team. This position will be located at our Sunnyvale, CA campus. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology support team. The successful candidate would be responsible for maintaining a smooth operation of Windows based networks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
Able to support multiple networks.
Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary. Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis
Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access list
Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components
Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases
Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security
Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts
Design and maintain network communications systems
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture as needed
Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage
Create and update appropriate documentations, including operational instructions Provides regular monitoring and security analysis to meet DoD security standards
ESCSO Basic qualifications for a level 3:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or master's degree with 3 years of related experience or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
Current IAM DoD level 1 Security certification (CAP, GSLC or Security CE) or able to obtain within 6 months of start date.
Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
US citizenship is required.
Windows Experience - Proficient understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10 and Server 2012/2016 preferred), and Active Directory concepts (including DHCP and DNS).
Experience with server management.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
Active secret clearance
Hardware Experience with HPE and Dell Servers firmware patching, hardware upgrades, lights out management experience, troubleshooting, and visualization
Experience with Certification & Accreditation process
Linux Experience Basic understanding of Linux OS functionality, commands, and file structures and/or certification for current versions
SAN Knowledge Interactions with VMware applications (vSphere objects, Horizon View, etc.), and fiber channel infrastructure concepts
Ability to perform network analysis
Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
Experience with SCCM
Experience with routers, switches, IPS/IDS, and firewalls
Experience with Windows, file, web and remote execution servers and Terminal Services
Experience with information security technologies like, event log management, intrusion detection, HIPS, anti-virus, vulnerability assessments. (Solarwinds, Nessus, Tenable, McAfee, Sophos, HBSS)
Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)
Ability to design and troubleshoot VPNs
Experience managing and maintaining complex NTFS security models
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with engineering users, other system administrators and computer/facility organizations.
