What You Will Do:

  • Raytheon currently has an exciting IT systems administrator position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.

  • The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.

  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.  Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

  • Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.

  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

  • Full time 100% Onsite position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Must have an active Secret US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

  • Scripting - PowerShell, Bash

  • Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.

  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.

  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange

  • Linux experience.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
