Summary:

Acts as key member of the Windows Systems team ensuring the Windows Server and Active Directory implementations are running effectively and efficiently. Performs a variety of functions to ensure the Windows Systems environment is available, reliable, and stable. Monitors systems and serves as a focal point for routine support of systems. Support is generally for large scale systems with high criticality to the business. Has assignments for multiple areas of the infrastructure and is expected to plan for the future by setting and documenting specific direction of assigned areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, customize and maintain systems including installing and testing new releases

  • Monitor and evaluate operating efficiency, analyze performance and tuning

  • Analyze system problems to identify problem areas

  • Follow established procedures required for efficient management of the infrastructure

  • Install new or enhanced applications and/or hardware; assist in the installation of servers

  • Install, configure, manage, patch, troubleshoot, and upgrade Microsoft Exchange environments, and administer O365 and Azure AD implementations

  • Resolve escalated service requests and support tickets related to Windows server environments

  • Reviews, evaluates, and recommends new or upgraded systems software packages and related hardware, based on established standards

  • Manages medium enterprise projects according to division standards and requirements

  • Has broad technical knowledge of information systems and recommends solutions based on current infrastructure components

  • Work closely and escalates issues directly with vendors to ensure that supporting operating systems are compliant with applications, including required patch levels, hot fixes, and revisions.

  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements

You Must Have:

  • U.S. Citizenship in order to gain and maintain security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or Physical Science with a minimum of 24 semester hours of computer-related courses, or equivalent work experience

  • Experienced professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and related components"

We Value:

  • Experience as a Windows System Administrator preferred

  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft Exchange Server and O365 environments

  • Demonstrated experience with HP hardware, supporting Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012 R2, Windows 10, Group Policy management, Active Directory, and Powershell

  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of cyber security concepts

  • Attention to detail in completion of processes and maintaining documentation

  • Effective communication skills

This position is responsible for planning, configuring, deployment, and management of SharePoint Online and Teams. Also responsible for maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft 365 collaboration product set which will allow them to develop and maintain related technical roadmaps and governance.
