Suse Linux Nuremberg
Windows Subsystem for Linux Developer (worldwide)
Location: The position is open at any SUSE office worldwide or work from home.
At SUSE, we are passionate about Open Source and we are major contributors to many upstream projects. We are looking for a software developer who shares this passion to join our global engineering team and development effort in the Enterprise Linux arena.
As a member of the applications team you will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the software development process on the Linux desktop and supporting stack. As a unique sub aspect of this position we are looking for a developer to enhance our Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) offering on both the Linux and Windows sides.
The Windows Subsystem for Linux is a new offering from Microsoft in collaboration with leading Linux distributors. Main purpose is to run Linux applications natively on a Windows system. You will have the opportunity to get familiar with this new technology and learn WSL how it works and implement improvements and new functionality. You can get more information on this following this link: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/commandline/2017/07/19/suses-linux-distros-for-wsl-now-available-in-the-windows-store/
