PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will participate in the generation of monthly build process and provide supporting documentation [Trouble Reports (TR), System Version Document (SVD), and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)]. This process includes the installation of GOTS and COTS, troubleshooting, and extensive information systems security analysis and the controls implemented to secure a system.

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Windows based systems administration/configuration/installation skills

  • Hands-on technical experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting with Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2008, MS Exchange 2003/2010/2013, Active Directory and services (DHCP, DNS, WINS)

  • Be familiar with the functions of the Windows registry, directory structure and Group Policy

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • General knowledge of DISA STIGS, ACAS, NESSUS, and SCAP

  • Possess specific knowledge of MS SQL and the security controls required to implement secure a system

  • Additional consideration will be consider for experience with programming skills, COMPOSE, GCCS-M, HBSS, VMware Vphere (ESXi), and VMware Workstation

  • Both written and verbal communications skills are required

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment

  • Must be able to travel occasionally (10% year avg.) in support of systems fielding at U.S. military installations; mostly within US

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Skills with scripting in Powershell, VBS, HTA, and Batch are desired

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or BS IT

CERTIFICATIONS DESIRED:

  • Security +, MCP, MCSE, MCITP

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Systems Integrator will provide Windows based systems administration, configuration, and installation skills in support of programs for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The Systems Integrator will participate in the execution of the monthly build process and provide supporting documentation [Trouble Reports (TR), System Version Document (SVD), and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)]. This process includes the installation of GOTS and COTS software, troubleshooting, and extensive information systems security analysis and the controls implemented to secure a system. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Systems Integrator will also be responsible for quality assurance checks of products and documentation generated by teammates. The Systems Integrator should possess two -- five (2-5) years' hands-on technical experience: * Configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Windows® domains, services (DHCP, DNS, WINS), and applications * Working in a virtual environment or with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) * Familiarity with the functions of the Windows registry, directory structure, and Group Policy * Troubleshooting and scripting (Powershell, VBS, HTA, Batch) skills Scientific Research Corporation offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages excellence.
