Windows Administrator - Secret Clearance Required - Hybrid Role

Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Windows Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our organization's Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role will be part of a Windows team which is part of a larger team that is responsible for O&M, engineering tasks, and data center support across different technology areas.

Windows Administrator Job Duties:

• Design, develop, or recommend integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.

• Participate with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs, and configuring and validating secure systems, testing security products/systems to detect computer and information security weakness.

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and related software

• Support the project lifecycle for infrastructure and technology projects. Support inventory and procurement efforts. Support budgetary quotes for the development of Bill of Materials.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Windows-based systems and applications.

• Install and configure hardware devices, such as servers, storage, and network equipment.

• Implement security measures to protect Windows-based systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

• Perform routine system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.

• Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement integrated solutions that meet business requirements.

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Security Clearance Requirements: Adjudicated Secret or active Top Secret (TS) required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 6 years experience of design, development, integration, implementation, operation and analysis of Windows systems, administering, securing and optimizing, Windows or Linux devices. A minimum of 4 years experience managing a IT Infrastructure functional team Understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Solid understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in Windows environments, System Administration, Network Administration Network Security, Networking Standards, Network Protocols, NIST/FISMA standards and controls, SIEM platforms and security tools, Network Hardware Configurations. Cyber Security Training or Certification (i.e., Security+, Network+, SPLUNK, FireEye) and Knowledge of NIST SP 800 53 series or ISO 27000 series documents.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Desired Skills / Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of experience managing an IT Infrastructure functional team. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems administration problems.

Location: 10% travel to Fairmont, WV, Hybrid

Status: Full time

Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.

Travel Required: 10% of the time
