THE POSITION

Join the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) as a Wildlife Conservation Education and Information Manager for the Bureau of Information and Education at our Harrisburg Headquarters. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will oversee our Social Science Division staff, directing human dimension work and conservation education projects from initial research, processes, and procedures through the final product. This includes the opportunity to develop and analyze new programs, research, and resources to reach new and current audiences throughout the Commonwealth. You will also present the results of surveys and research efforts to other PGC staff, Commissioners, other human dimensions colleagues, and members of the public. Your initiative and experience will ensure that our human dimension efforts provide the greatest to value to our agency and director' strategic objectives. Lead the way in discovering what it takes for more Pennsylvanians to participate in PGC's innovative and proactive stewardship of wildlife and their habitats with our team!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Four years of professional experience in development and implementation of conservation education programs; and a bachelor's degree with course work in education, wildlife management, communications, or a closely related field; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must have experience in human dimension or social science work such as, designing surveys and methodology, analysis procedures, report format, and interpretation of information or developing focus groups, in-depth interviews, and telephone and internet surveys of the public.
You must have experience presenting results of surveys and research efforts to other professionals, boards, and members of the public.
You must have experience managing conservation education programs.
You must have supervisory experience.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
