Salary: $50,000-$55,000 for the Mental Health Practitioner and $60,000-$65,000 for the MH Professional

This is a full time position


Join a community of passionate professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. The Wilder Foundation School-Based Mental Health Program is recruiting a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT or LPCC) or Mental Health Practitioner working towards MH licensure (supervision towards licensure will be provided) to provide diagnostic assessments, individual and family therapy in a school-based setting, with occasional home-based treatment for children and their families.

Clients served are from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds: the caseload of students at these sites will primarily be students and families of African descent. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with children/youth and their families, and will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of mental health providers working to increase children and families' sense of hope, resilience and well-being. We are part of a Rule 29 Clinic and candidates must maintain clinical, billing and other required documentation per agency guidelines. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with some evenings.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record to transport is required. Candidates of color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Qualifications

Licensed Mental Health Professional. OR Licensed Mental Health Practitioner - Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling with a minimum 1 year of related mental health experience. MN LGSW, LISW working towards LICSW level license; LAMFT or MFT degree working towards LMFT license; or LPC working towards an LPCC or mental health degreed working towards LPCC license.

With up to 15 events throughout the school year, there is typically one to two events per month, each lasting 1-3 days. All events take place within a 20 mile radius of St. Paul. Our mission is to provide culturally sensitive community oral health care, preventive education, professional training, and to advocate for access for all. POSITION SUMMARY: The part-time Hygienist for the Sealant Programs assists in the operation of the School Based Sealant Program. This hygienist adheres to all required OSHA and health regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide preventive services under collaborative agreement during sealant program events (screenings, fluoride varnish, OHI, sealants, and charting of procedures services in patient's chart, communications with parents/families of participants) * Utilize Open Dental software to chart patient record. * Identify students that have urgent dental care needs and follow-up with their families Additional or different duties may be assigned from time to time or on a regular basis MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: * Dental Hygienists license (LDH) * Proficiency in a second language preferred * Experience in working with culturally diverse, limited-English or non-English speaking patients preferred * Knowledge of updated OSHA regulations * Demonstrated expertise in dental software * Understand and perform each essential duty satisfactorily * Ability to quickly adapt within a constantly changing work environment CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: * Required current licenses/certifications: LDH license, CPR/AED Certificate COMPETENCIES: * Able to "get along" with fellow staff members and treat all with respect and courtesy * Works well in teams of co-workers * Can accept constructive criticism * Desire and ability to work well with the public * Ability to explain instructions to others with less technical knowledge * Organized, motivated, committed and self-directed * Positive attitude about the practice, the services and the products sold * Outstanding verbal skills that reflects well on the practice * Understands concepts regarding duties and responsibilities * Dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks Community Dental Care is devoted to keeping patient and employees safe.
