Location: San Diego, CA
Job Responsibilities
Create Test plans and test cases.
Execution of test cases per defined test plans.
Execution of test automation based on test automation plan.
Communication with Google Test Engineers and project managers regarding bug submissions.
Process management including bug submission, tracking and reporting to Google Test Engineers and/or team members.
Conduct periodic meetings, cadence established based on mutual agreement, with Google Test Engineers and/or team members.
Provide detailed reports to the test engineering team on identified bugs discovered and the results of any patches against those bugs.
Provide detailed manual and automation test results to the test engineering team.

Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of testing experience in testing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Mobile testing experience
Knowledge in one of the following areas:
WiFi testing
Bluetooth testing
Telephony/Modem testing
Optional

Requirements:
Knowledge of Java and Python
Basic Python scripting experience

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 Job Title: QA TESTER Location: San Diego, CA Pay Rate: 36.81/hr Position Description: Device Monitoring and Recovery Daily device status review Based on device health alerts and webpage Recover devices, hosts, and other peripherals; and troubleshooting failures as needed During work hours, 3 hours average recovery latency 15 hours max recovery latency during weekdays, and 63 hours max recovery latency during weekdays Filing status reports and bugs Maintain Documentation Document and maintain documentation of support processes and procedures with semi-annual verification and refresh of the lab playbook Device Lab Ingestion, Preparation and Deployment Evaluate and verify that device meets all lab entry requirements. Label, OEM unlock and flash new devices Deploy devices to rack locations Prepare for test, set test environments as needed Report host/device IDs to test team Retire old hardware and prepare benches for new hardware deployment Modify devices for power testing, battery swaps and other needs as required Ongoing Lab Maintenance and Health Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Monitor and maintain lab networking infrastructure. Working with NetOps and other teams to ensure lab testing network infrastructure Monitor and maintain lab temperature control, working with REWS and facilities HVAC teams. Prepare for and communicate infrastructure outages as needed Future Lab Expansions Install/rearrange server racks and device racks cooling, power, LAN port extension Monitor Buganizer for Lab Related Issues Assist Android Platform test team with all test infrastructure related issues. In addition to the automated alerts, software engineers can file bugs about blocking lab operation issues (e.g., device issues or about a device or host pool with a high failure rate). Supposed to respond to such bugs in a timely manner (e.g., in 2 workdays). File bugs and work tickets as needed. Host Maintenance Image, prepare, and deploy hosts for testing Perform software and hardware upgrades as needed Troubleshoot and repair or replace hosts as needed Requirements: CS major preferred, Mobile/Android centric. Good working knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages. Demonstrate good exploratory testing skills in small/sub component of a project. Write comprehensive test plans and corresponding test cases for basic components and features. Find bugs and apply engineering rigor to reproduce and diagnose those bugs, write concise and descriptive bug reports and present test results to other project stakeholders clearly and effectively.
