Essential Tasks
1.Pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned.
2.Load materials into vehicle and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
3.Follow company delivery routes to insure maximum efficiency of delivery run.
4.Determine delivery vehicle is in an operative condition daily. Maintain a clean vehicle and operate vehicle in a safe manner daily.
5.Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
6.Package, label and ship customer orders by UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight and local truck deliveries.
7.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
8.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Physical Demands

Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time. Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs.

Environmental/ Atmospheric Conditions

Inside/Outside Conditions, Varied Temperature Changes, Minimal Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Dust, Vehicle Noise

Equipment

OSHA approved steel toed safety shoes required from the first day of this job.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Valid drivers' license with clean driving record.

Position Shift and ScheduleThis is a full time permanent position working 4:30am until finished, Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. Position CompensationThe starting rate of pay for this position is $165.00 per day. Position Responsibilities * Deliver product to scheduled accounts in good condition and within scheduled delivery time. * Assure brands and packages are rotated properly, safeguarding against past-dated products available to consumers. * Accountable for cash/credit proceeds and products removed from inventories. * Compute and record transactions to convey all related cash, checks and documents to Route Auditor. * Provide shelf merchandise to stores upon request by manager or customer. * Service vending machines with products, collects monies and records meter reading for each vendor, places point of sales material, fills change dispenser, adjusts and cleans mechanism as needed. * Assure that each vendor is maintained with proper brands, maximizing productivity for space to sales ratio. * Maintain assigned vehicle in accordance to applicable safety regulations. * Cover routes and provide sales and / or merchandising services as assigned. * Stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area of the warehouse according to established sequences and procedures and load trucks with propane or battery-operated forklift and/or pallet jack as assigned.
