Wholesale Sales Manager-PA

Location: Remote / Must Live in PA

Travel: up to 50% travel throughout PA

Department: Wholesale

Reports to: Senior Sales Manager

Job Summary:

This person will report into the Senior Sales Manager of Wholesale for the Northeast. The Wholesale Sales Manager will partner with the Senior Sales Manager on key initiatives to lead growth within our existing wholesale accounts, including cost negotiation, developing promotional calendars and marketing plans, and revenue goals.

You will help manage and measure KPIs for the underlying Sales Account Managers to drive revenue and growth in the Pennsylvania market. This role will have direct reports. Partnering with the account managers and field marketing associates, this person will ensure that we are growing profitable sales across all brands and meeting or exceeding their sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to our sales and field marketing team with regards to building relationships with buyers and budtenders, driving revenue and margin goals, and executing marketing strategies and promotions within 3rd party retail stores

  • Achieve sales, profit and inventory goals for all 3rd party retail customers in PA

  • Help implement the strategic plans set by the Executive Director of Wholesale and the Senior Sales Manager for channels, retailers, and products towards revenue and profitability goals on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

  • Assist the Executive Director of Wholesale and the Senior Sales Manager in planning account growth to influence future forecasting at the account level

  • Attend and participate in key meetings related to wholesale production and pipeline planning, as the main wholesale representative for each state

  • Analyze CRM and data analytics reports to ensure the success of account managers to maximize wholesale revenue and maintain target gross margins

  • Responsible for the daily execution of state level wholesale business, including merchandising objectives, operational optimization, budgets, and building customer relationships with all partners

  • Plan and negotiate with accounts to achieve company's best position

  • Monitor retailer sales and inventories; partner with merchandise planning to assess risks and opportunities; communicate and implement best profit and high customer satisfaction solutions

  • Execute plans regarding distribution, merchandising, pricing, and product placement, including negotiating contracts and various programs with customers

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales management work experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of successful sales management in the Pennsylvania cannabis market

  • Existing network of cannabis professionals in the Northeast, including MSO's

  • Ability to think creatively and develop long-term plans for partners, which maximize brand awareness and profit, while minimizing channel conflict and cannibalization

  • Diverse experience working with cross functional departments, including operations, marketing, channel management, category management and finance

  • Good customer and cross functional interface capabilities; excellent presentation and influencing skills

  • Ability to accurately forecast demand for sales and profit growth on a micro and macro level

  • Must be at least 21 years of age (or at least 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available "after hours" if an emergency situation should arise.
