ADP is hiring a Team Manager. In this position, you'll leverage your project management and leadership expertise to assist the Team Director in establishing the direction of daily activities, ensuring efficient operations, and creating an overall productive and enjoyable working environment for employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead daily activities of the team to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities and overall goals

  • Enhanced understanding and implementation of Business Units strategic goals. Oversee the use of standard process workflows by team

  • Function as a consultant and business partner to other groups within ADP

  • Train and mentor team members and identify development needs across the team, working Director to coordinate additional training as needed

  • Track various productivity and performance standards to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods

  • Serve as an acting backup to the Director, providing leadership, guidance and direction to team members in the absence of the director

  • Manage escalated issues and provide direction.

  • Collaborate with peers to establish best practices

  • Analyze team statistics and prepare reports for the Director

  • Evaluate associates on performance and complete annual performance appraisals.

  • Work in collaboration with associate to establish Individual Development Plans.

  • Develop and administer corrective action and performance improvement plans.

  • Hire/Fire authority in conjunction with Human Resources.

  • May have budgetary responsibility.

  • May have oversight of Workforce Management to include scheduling, and succession planning.

  • Participate in task forces, strategic initiatives, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 5 years of experience

  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of internal and external contacts verbally and in writing

  • Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment, focused on achieving results

  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of management

  • Ability to assess team members' performance and provide motivational support

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong client relationship building skills

  • Ability to recognize basic procedural issues as they arise and escalate to the appropriate level

  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility and critical thinking skills and apply basic concepts in new situations

  • Proficient in the latest web technologies and working knowledge of various operating systems

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office

  • CPP or FPC certification

  • Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of all pertinent ADP HR, Payroll and Benefits policies and procedures

  • Prior leadership training

POSITION SUMMARY: This position supervises the daily activities of the Wholesale Implementation and Service team(s) to ensure efficient and effective delivery of optimal service to an assigned client base. Accountable for start plan, quality and retention results. Responsible for managing relationships with the SBS sales organization, CPAs and Wholesale clients. Oversees all functional responsibilities of the Software Solutions Wholesale Implementation/Service functions performed by the Implementation/Service representatives. Team management responsibilities include managing team base assignments, back log, re-distributions, schedule preparation and labor forecasting as well as facility needs. Manages daily client contact statistics and related metrics to achieve ADP and national partner goals and to meet client standards. Manages all human resources issues; determines training requirements; provides continual communication and coordination of functional activities to ensure effective client support; provides reports to the Director(s)/VP and participates in the decision making process as required. This level II will be leading a team of 15-20 associates, sometimes through team leads, and managing two to four functional areas. The level II is experienced in managing firm relationships and on a quarterly basis is visiting large and/or influential firms to enhance service relationships and generate referral opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Leads the daily activities of Wholesale teams. Ensures adequate coverage and controls workflow in order to meet Regional objectives in areas including start volume, start timing, productivity, and quality. Manages the relationship with the assigned Sales Team(s). Resolves escalations that cannot be handled at lower levels of the organization. May serve as technical resource for the Wholesale team. * Communicates strategic goals; sets and communicates team goals. Continuously reviews team performance; identifies and appropriately addresses opportunities for improvement. Hires and effectively on-boards new associates. Manages associate performance and development and provides feedback. At the direction of upper management, implements processes and procedures to improve all aspects of Service delivery. Provides feedback to upper management. Prepares reports and monitors team performance statistics. * Level II is responsible for leading more than one functional team. * Communicates directly with sales partners, region management, San Dimas management, and/or Firms to resolve escalated issues (including Tax & Resolution). Educates consultants and leaders about policies and procedures to minimize Firm impact and financial risk to ADP. Disseminates information between San Dimas and Wholesale Regions. * Analyzes call activity results. Initiates proactive resolution of associate, tool or service delivery weaknesses surfaced by the statistical reports * Oversees effective delivery of client satisfaction surveys, including follow-up with clients on positive and negative feedback and expediting service recovery when necessary. * Responsible for ensuring all client implementations are completed on time and with high-quality. Manages to the team overtime budget. May manage associates in multiple physical locations. May have special accountability of being the leader in a remote location.Responsible for the management of the sales relationship in the assigned area. Resolves escalated issues promptly with operations, finance, service, or sales * Prepares proactive evaluations in team use of call center management tools and methodologies. Determines corrective action when necessary. * Provides performance feedback to the team on a regular basis. Prepares and delivers performance appraisals and development performance to associates. * Manages the recruitment efforts for new associates. Compliments the team by acquiring highly motivated and professional services associates. * Manage Wholesale project tasks utilizing established project management methodology to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes. This includes but is not limited to the creation of a project plan to include formalized scope and approach, requirements, development plans, test plans training plans, implementation plans and turnover for operational readiness. * Performs other related duties as assigned EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Preferred Bachelor's Degree * Preferred CPP Certification * 3-5 Years of directly related experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: * At least one year experience as an Implementation Manager. Must have the ability to manage through others. Proven proficiency in prioritizing critical client issues and managing workflow. * Prior experience successfully interacting with sales function. Proficiency in the use of PC applications. * Working knowledge of payroll and ancillary products as well as related tools RUN, Clarify, Start Assist, CMS/WFM, etc.). Effective oral and written communication skills required. * Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and mentoring skills. * Ability to work under pressure of time constraints.
