Wholesale Lending Services Workflow Business Analyst Lead Vice President

Within an Agile framework, the Workflow Business Analyst Lead (Lead BA) works collaboratively with the development team and user groups to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements for Workflow functionality. The Lead BA handles multiple, complex project-level business engagement with users, translating business needs into technical requirements per existing processes and controls. Projects will include strategic designs and initiatives associated with the ongoing support of the application.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to document requirements, working closely with technology development teams to ensure user acceptance criteria are met prior to implementation

  • Act as the primary interface between the Product Owner and the Feature Team for the assigned domain

  • Establish working relationships and routinely interface with: project sponsors, business stakeholders, technology, Subject Matter Experts (SMES), and other functional partners to provide/complete required project documentation (process flows, gap analysis, procedures, etc.)

  • Represent the user group by presenting document requirements to the technology teams, Gather stakeholder input and signoff as required

  • Contribute to the end to end business design of the workflow applications, thinking strategically across various user groups

  • Oversee the testing teams' understanding of requirements and test functionality as needed

  • Assist with Governance of new requests by leading discussions for inclusion in Product Backlog

  • Develops others in increasing levels of business and technical acumen in order to effectively bridge the gap between business and technology

  • Establish and facilitate appropriate regular working meetings as required, develop presentations and shape messages in a manner effective for senior management and business presentation

  • Gather stakeholder input and signoff as required

  • Provide timeline estimates to project plans as needed

  • Monitor, track, and report on owned project deliverables through each stage of the project life cycle

  • Identify and track risks and issues, and escalate as needed to management

  • Provide user support during production incidents and proactively communicate status

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required

  • A minimum of 5 years in the financial services market

  • Experience in leading the elicitation and documentation of workflows and business requirements

  • Experience in loan operations and/or loan technology preferred

  • Agile/Scrum project management methodology experience is a plus

  • Able to operate independently, follow tight deadlines, and prioritize work in order to support concurrent projects

  • Strong analytical, communication (verbal and written), and delivery skills

  • Adept at working with a diverse group of stakeholders; tailoring communication styles and methods as needed

  • Able to understand big picture concepts and break them down into detail needed to implement them.

  • Participates proactively and continuously in the activities of the team. Is visible, vocal, and objective

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint

The Compliance QA Assistant Vice President will assist in compliance monitoring, documentation of reviews, and the reporting of review results on regulatory areas of the loan origination process. The Compliance QA Senior Analyst will conduct compliance reviews of loan level data or business processes to evaluate the effectiveness of business practices in meeting regulatory compliance requirements and MSPBNA Policies. This role reports directly to the Vice President of First Line Operational Risk and is based in Coppell, Texas. The Compliance QA Assistant Vice President responsibilities include: Support the development of Compliance QA review scripts and create linkage to MSPBNA Policies and regulatory requirements for residential mortgage loans. Perform loan level documentation reviews of residential mortgage loans for compliance with regulatory requirements and MSPBNA Policies. Perform targeted reviews to determine root cause of recurring deficiencies and make recommendations. Participate on assigned activities to assist the Mortgage Division to cure deficiencies and improve processes where applicable. Participate in the partnership with the Second Line Compliance Quality Control function to promote consistency and uniformity of review scripts, error risk levels, and the identification of errors. Perform assigned monitoring routines and create management and committee-level reporting of results and trends. Participate in the performance of process level assessments evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls implemented to mitigate regulatory and or operational risk. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Experience in audit, compliance, and/or risk management functions (5 Years) Strong knowledge of residential mortgage origination compliance requirements, including federal and state regulations.
