Job Description:

The candidate will support a diverse portfolio of strategic functions for the Wholesale Credit COO Group. Functions may include: internal and external portfolio governance routines, regulatory exam management and ongoing requests/interactions and process improvement and deployment. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

The role requires a thorough knowledge of the wholesale credit (Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking and Global Markets) risk organization including; underwriting, structuring, monitoring, governance routines, policy and processes. Candidate must have a proven ability to build and sustain productive partnerships with key partners across Risk, GBAM (GCIB & GM), GCB & Business Banking Credit Products and various support partners.

  • Assist in the development of Board level and Risk leadership level portfolio updates and governance routines

  • Support internal governance routines and regulatory relations for the wholesale credit risk organization. Included coordinating deliverables among various business partners and ensuring critical deadlines are met

  • Support global projects to ensure the appropriate GBAM Risk representatives are included and all aspects of the projects are thought through from a GBAM Risk perspective (end to end coverage)

  • Respond to regulatory, Audit, Compliance and Credit Review requests

  • Support on-going business as usual routines and ad-hoc requests within the Wholesale Credit COO Group

Job Requirements:

  • Previous procedure development and/or governance experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issues

  • Ability to work independently and juggle competing priorities

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to establish partnerships across the organization and build effective work groups, requiring strong influencing and negotiating skills

  • Strong, hands on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skill

  • Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and compliance disciplines

The COO team supports planning, strategy and governance efforts for the CFO Risk Group. The position will be Charlotte-based. The candidate will work closely together with the CFO team and GRMs Central COO peers. Given the enterprise-wide nature of the internal clients that this team supports, the candidate will gain broad knowledge of and exposure to the entire Company. Role Summary: * Governance support: * Work with key stakeholders to set Committee agendas and maintain placemat of agenda topics to promote transparency and improve efficiencies * Prepare meeting materials, incorporate edits provided in prep meetings and distribute final decks to voting members and meeting participants * Ensure meeting presenters have the meeting logistics. Follow-up post meeting to provide evidence of approval/documentation, as required * Maintain Committee Charters and Rosters * Liaison with central COO team to prepare quarterly dashboard reporting evidencing that governance requirements are being satisfied on a timely basis * Responsible for maintaining Risk Committee SharePoint and ensuring final meeting materials and signed meeting minutes are uploaded to the site * Coordinate with Parent Committee to ensure materials follow the proper governance and escalation procedures and required Committee approvals are obtained * Send redacted meeting minutes related to any Reputational Risk topics to the Compliance and Operational Risk team, as applicable * Policy Management Provide primary policy management support for Policies owned by CFO Risk team and secondary policy management support for Policies owned by the CFO group.
