During the event, we open our doors and dedicate the day to interviewing and hiring passionate, friendly, food-focused Team Members for our stores. During our last annual Hiring Day, we hired over 4,000 new Team Members in one day! And with potential on-the-spot job offers, there's no better time to join our team.

We're hiring Team Members for the following Store level positions

  • Prepared Foods: Cook, Pizza Cook, Dishwasher, Sandwich Maker & Deli Service, Food Runner

  • Bakery: Baker (day & also overnight), Cake Decorator, Retail Packaging & Counter Service

  • Store Support/Customer Service: Cashier, Housekeeping & Sanitation

  • Produce: Stocking & rotating product, Fruit & Vegetable Cutter, Floral Team Member

  • Meat: Butcher, Retail Packaging & Counter Service

  • Seafood: Oven Ready prep, Retail Packaging & Counter Service

  • Specialty: Service Team Members for Cheese, Coffee Bar, Beer & Wine (Pub & Carry Out)

  • Grocery: Stocking and rotating product. Areas include Dry Goods, Bulk, Dairy, and Frozen

  • Open positions may be different from those listed above and vary by store.

We're hiring permanent Team Members, and have openings for Part Time positions.

The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International. Sales Manager Government and University Markets Courtyard Marriott Bethesda Chevy Chase is a 226 room, full service hotel with meeting space, catering, and a full service restaurant, Trattoria 5520. The hotel was completely renovated in 2017 and is located within walking distance of a Metro Station as well as dining and shopping. Bethesdas downtown is located within a five minute drive from the property. We are managed by Hospitality Partners of Bethesda, where our goal is to make all associates feel like family. Benefits include 22 days of paid time off per year after six months, 401k, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, food and beverage discounts, and Marriott discounts worldwide. We are looking for a candidate with hotel sales experience, preferably selling to the Government and University segments. He or she would have knowledge of the current industry trends in these segments and execute weekly sales calls and action plans against current and prospective accounts to close profitable business for the hotel. Candidate would hold at minimum a membership if not a leadership role in several of the segments industry organizations such as SGMP to insure networking and promotion of the hotel and capture additional business opportunities. Primary Responsibilities: * Conduct sales calls and sales related activities against weekly goals set by DOM. * Solicit and book groups, events and meetings of 10 or more rooms in all assigned segments according to budgeted parameters. * Use industry research tools to uncover business opportunities in the hotel market and feeder markets. * Be an active member of appropriate industry organizations to network and promote hotel * Attend meetings, trainings and conferences held by industry organizations in each segment * Create and execute account plans and actions to achieve budgeted revenue goals. * Follow up on all leads in assigned market segments to qualify and close * Ensure client needs are communicated to all hotel departments to ensure client satisfaction. * Demonstrate enthusiasm for selling hotel services and customer interaction. * Perform other sales-related duties as assigned by the DOM or GM Required Skills * Negotiation Ability to sell and book business * Tracking and Monitoring report on achievement of sales call goals and revenues on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and forecast future revenues. * Computer and Industry Software Property management systems, sales database, reservations systems * Servicing - provide on-site support at booked events as needed or required by hotel or client to insure that customer success is met. * Communication - employ clear, concise written and verbal communication skills including business emails/letters, flyers, proposals, meeting presentations, contracts, social media posts and other required communications. * Teamwork - work closely with the hotel departments to insure that the details of all bookings are conveyed and the customers business needs are met by the staff. Knowledge of Equipment/Systems: * Marriott or other property management systems, FOSSE experience is a plus * Sales systems Delphi.fdc experience preferred * Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Prospecting tools such as Hotelligence and Knowland Readers/Insight * RFP response software such as Cvent * Internet prospecting, research Qualifications: Experience/Education * At least 2 years of previous hotel group sales experience, Government/University market experience preferred * Marriott sales and systems experience preferred * Delphi.fdc experience preferred * Ability to creatively sell/upsell food and beverage * College degree preferred Working Conditions: * Might be required to work flexible hours including but not limited to holidays, nights and weekends based on business demands. * Fast-paced environment with changing workload based on business levels. * Ability to travel locally and/or overnight occasionally to required conferences and meetings.
