Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the unit to ensure optimal and efficient program operation. Ensures that the mobile unit, equipment and supplies are maintained. Supports the Wellness on Wheels Program Manager by preparing reports, organizing schedules and supporting quality improvements.
1.Drives and maintains the Wellness on Wheels motor coach
Conducts daily mechanical inspections of the motor coach and log results in appropriate log book
Monitors preventative maintenance schedules
Maintains DOT Annual Certification
Perform daily inspections and log results of medical equipment, safety equipment, and the refrigerator & freezer used for the storage
Responsible for conducting the monthly EOC survey and provide information to Manager
3.Monitors/Orders Inventory and Supplies
Regularly inspects medical supplies to ensure adequate inventory. Disposes of expired supplies and places orders as appropriate.
Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility for any patients as required.
Enters all events (clinics) into the WEO calendar and department intranet site to ensure current information is communicated.
Creates marketing material for clients and community events. Maintains communication with clinic sites with timely updates on participation, changes on the schedule or cancelations for upcoming clinics.
Greets patients and provides assistance if needed with registration, escorts patients to changing area and provides instructions in preparation for screening mammogram.
Handles reporting and summary of each clinic to client and appropriate internal stakeholders.
5.Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and teams.
6.Participates in supporting the organizations vision, mission and values and adheres to DeKalb Medical Standards of Behavior
7.Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of Emory Decatur Hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma. Valid GA driver's license, clean 3 year motor vehicle report; CDL - Commercial drivers License required (Class C or higher CDL with airbrake endorsement). Experience in a healthcare setting, a plus.
