Wellness Graphic Design Intern, Summer/Fall 2024

About the Role & Program

6 MONTH INTERNSHIP. AVAILABILITY FROM JUNE THROUGH DECEMBER IS REQUIRED.

The Wellness Team supports wellness engagement and well-being education across all Disney Experiences (DX) by crafting and promoting wellness resources, offerings, and opportunities to Cast Members, Crew, Imagineers, and Employees. We do this through various brand marketing, campaign efforts, digital media, and special events.

The Wellness Graphic Design Communications Intern will be responsible for supporting design related to presenting wellness programs for Cast Members and their families. We work with internal Disney partners to develop content, creative messaging, and assets needed to educate and engage. What you will do

• Design and update Internal Communications/Brand digital, print, web, and video elements, such as social graphics, web banners, event A-frames, digital fliers, print posters, brochures, presentations, webinars, video graphics, Cast TVs, etc.

• Build design assets supporting collateral, articles, blogs, and e-newsletters.

• Collaborate and produce short wellness videos.

• Maintain and support the graphics and content included on the Wellness intranet site via DisneyBeWell.com.

• Develop and complete graphic design strategies, implementing layouts, color combinations, and visual campaigns that engage and educate our Cast Members related to wellness topics and programs.

• Capture photos and/or wellness videos for use in communications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Passion for creativity and overall well-being!

• Web design/banners and web maintenance experience.

• Strong graphic design skills - including color theory, typography, and layout/design.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative (Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Photoshop), Microsoft Office Suite, and Keynote.

• Proficiency in writing, including familiarity with AP Style.

• Knowledge of WordPress.

• Content calendar coordination.

• Editing and proofreading skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Photography and video editing skills.

• Previous experience in brand marketing.

• Knowledge of Disney Experiences and/or previous Disney experience.

Education

Currently enrolled as a junior or higher pursuing (or recently graduated with) a degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related major.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within six months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program (DCP) or Disney Internship.

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.

• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or DCP.

Additional Information

• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 through January 2025.

• Interns will work 40 hours per week (onsite in Orlando, FL) and be fully available throughout the internship.
