SUMMARY:

This position works under the direct supervision of the Wellness Manager to assist in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of the Wellness Program for the residents of Vista/Mission Ridge.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

Resident Responsibilities

  • Creates, enhances, and maintains a culture of health, fitness, and overall wellness.

  • Ability to perform preliminary assessments for residents, staff, and community wellness participants.

  • Maintains and improves wellness with innovation in order to avoid resident participation burnout.

  • Maintains professional certifications and perpetuates personal professional growth.

  • Participates in resident Wellness Team meetings.

  • Assists Wellness Manager and Coordinator in developing policies/procedures, standards, and qualifications for wellness classes and activities.

  • Assists Wellness Manager and Coordinator in developing and maintaining outreach with community, staff, and churches.

  • Participates in and cultivates community relationships and outreach events such as health fairs and education presentations.

  • Contributes to developing and maintaining resident participation and engagement.

  • Remains constantly aware of potential safety issues and follows up with Wellness Manager/Coordinator as appropriate.

  • Portrays an energetic, upbeat, vibrant attitude to enhance resident motivation and participation.

  • Has a strong understanding of the Seven Dimensions of Wellness and strives to incorporate these in Wellness planning.

  • Works cooperatively with Wellness Manager/Coordinator developing a monthly activity calendar and daily communicator for residents.

  • Coordinate and transport residents via campus vehicles for off-campus activities.

Communication

  • Completes necessary documentation.

  • Has daily contact with residents, staff members, volunteers and resident family members and guests.

  • Maintains relations between community members, visitors and guests of residents and vendors.

Safety

  • Obeys safety rules of St. John's United

  • Attends mandatory safety in-services

  • Keeps activity area and storage areas clean and orderly

Mission/Customer Service

Supports the growth and actively engages in the Eden Alternative philosophy, including a work environment with plants and animals.

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Follows policy and procedures on TB testing.

  • Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations.

  • Attends all mandatory in-services

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge and skills acquired through completion of high school. Experience and/or the willingness to be trained in instructing and coordination wellness activities such as; group fitness class, health education programming, and arthritis programs.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Must be knowledgeable about community resources, community events and other opportunities that will make the wellness program interesting and challenging to residents.

  • Ability to assist in developing, planning and coordinating activity programs along with the Wellness Manager and Coordinator.

  • Ability to work under time deadlines, manage time efficiently and work effectively with a variety of staff members, residents and other personnel

  • Must be self motivated and have the ability to perform multiple simultaneously.

CAs take into account resources, constraints, and organizational values as they commit to satisfying customer needs and resolving customer issues. CAs must coordinate with other NorthWestern Energy employees to find relevant information and take necessary action. CAs are subject to call monitoring. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics * Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives * Accept customer payments and post the same day * Balance cash drawer daily; make bank deposits * Input and completion of service orders * Meet or exceed performance standards, as determined by NorthWestern Energy, including time spent at workstation and time engaged with customer interactions * Explains rate changes and bill calculations as necessary * Administers credit program within prescribed scope * Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs while reviewing and entering data on a computer * Type memos, e-mails, and other correspondence in an accurate timely manner * Respond to emergency situations professionally and accurately by following established policy and procedures * Perform calculations to determine customer payments and other account related activity * Assist customers using established policies and procedures * Respond professionally and positively to customer complaints or inquiries * Work effectively in a team and in close proximity of teammates * Perform all regularly scheduled shifts.
