Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks to support the assembly and construction of our autonomous surface vessels. As part of a startup environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and exciting projects, contributing directly to the success of our advanced maritime systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality welding on a variety of metals and materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure structural integrity and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.
• Maintain and clean welding equipment, tools, and work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment (MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in working with marine or defense-related projects is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
