What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Independently performs moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment

  • Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position

  • Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate heat adjustments, as required, on large thickness variations

  • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product

  • Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment

  • Maintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as care for assigned tools and proper disposal of hazardous waste

  • Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containers

  • Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements

  • May be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Your Professional Experience Should Be

  • Minimum 1+ years welding experience

  • Intermediate to advanced TIG and MIG welding skills

  • ASME certified

  • Experience interpreting blue prints and bill of materials (BOM)

  • Basic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication and division)

  • Attention to detail essential

  • Self - starter capable of managing workload under minimal direction and supervision

  • Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve non-conformities and deviations

  • Overtime and weekend hours, as needed

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ISO procedures

  • Knowledge or experience working with Chart products

  • Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations

Your Education Should Be

REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit.

  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color evaluations, and the ability to adjust focus.

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-02T00:00 REPORTS TO: General Manager POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. * Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business. * Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures. * Ensures the profitability of the business by operation shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth. * Providing leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® "culture" and mission and vision statements. * Assists the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner. * Participates in interviewing, hiring, training and disciplining employees under the guidance of the GM. * Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule. * Actively participates in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives. * Represents Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times. * Communicates effectively to the GM/Owner any and all issues that may impact our business. * Able to work on their feet for up to 13 hours at a time. * Able to lift up to 50 lbs. * Any other duties assigned by GM/Owner.
