Description
The Hiller Companies, a national leader in the fire protection and security industry, is hiring qualified Welders.
A Welder is responsible for joining, cutting, and shaping metal parts and structures using various welding techniques. They play an important part of manufacturing and repairing our fire & life safety systems. Installation of fire suppression system components as per the engineered drawings, including FM-200 and other clean agents, Fixed CO2 and Halon Systems, Galley Suppression Systems without constant supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate welding equipment and machinery, such as arc welders, MIG welders, TIG welders to fuse metal components.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand the welding specifications and join metal components accurately.
Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing to verify the quality of welds.
Correct any defects or imperfections in the welds, if necessary
Work in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead, as required by project.
Work closely with project managers and other teams to ensure the proper alignment and assembly of the fire and life safety system.
Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
Identify and trouble shoot issues related to welding.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities:
Must be able to pass a welding exam.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Basic math skills for measuring, calculating, and layout tasks.
