Wieland Provides is hiring for 3rd shift welders. The welders will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping.

Ideal candidate should have MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred

• 1 year of pipe welding experience

This role is located in Verona, VA and will be fully on-site.

3rd Shift Schedule:

Sunday

• Friday 10pm-6am

Welder Pay on 3rd Shift: $26.75 per hour

• Potential for performance evaluation increase after 90 days and 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

3rd Shift WELDER Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.

• Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.

• Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation, and movement of product.

• Utilize various types of welding equipment/techniques.

• May supervise machines that perform automated welding tasks.

• Be certified and perform within ASME Code regulations.

• Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards.

• Maintain required records.

3rd Shift WELDER Qualifications:

• Steadiness of arms and hands and make coordinated movements.

• Ability to read text, process and understand its meaning.

• Able to gather and retrieve information effectively.

• Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools and their uses and maintenance.

• Near vision

Physical Demands:

• Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.

• Perform work in heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters, e.g., inside vessels.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required for this position, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket, welding apron/chaps, and respirator if required.

• Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand-eye coordination.
