Job Summary

Responsible for accurately welding a variety of different sized frames and parts while utilizing business systems to continually improve processes. Gain full understanding of daily goals and welding processes to ensure individual and team success is met. Provide clear feedback on any challenges encountered in your area on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Create, utilize, and improve Standard Work to document assembly processes to ensure consistency and repeatability.
• Participate in the 5 Why process to ensure real time problem solving, drive continuous improvement and prevent problems from reoccurring. Participate in daily tracking and provide valuable feedback to progress.
• Implement visual controls throughout work area to provide ease of cross training and reduce assembly cycle time.
• Read, interpret, and follow drawings and Bills of Material to weld and assemble systems and submit corrections as needed.
• Utilize measurement tools and correctly interpret readings. Weld, Solder, and fabricate structural frames and piece parts.
• Assemble units of a variety of sizes and models through use of the standard work and interpretation of Engineering controlled documents.
• Cross train in other areas to assist when needed. Identify problems and develop solutions.
• Demonstrate excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• 2 years welding experience required.
• 1-2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 1-2 years' assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret precision measurement tools i.e. Micrometer, Depth gauge, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to read and interpret Bill of Materials and Engineering controlled documents.
• Ability to weld using a variety of techniques including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. Ability to use a drill press, sandblaster, hand operated drills, grinders, and wrenches.
• Certificate showing successful completion of welding education preferred.

Key Competencies

Absolute KEY skills needed for role

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
