ABOUT THE JOB
The Associate, Gold Team will promote an environment of exemplary customer service through interactions with patients, family members, and staff. Deliver a welcoming first impression to those entering the facilities by responding to questions, providing information, and providing directions to hospital locations. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information. Take ownership of the overall appearance of hospital entrances. Ensure anyone entering MU Health Care facilities follows visitor and safety guidelines.
SALARY RANGE $14.00 - $21.18
SHIFT Weekday/Weekend varying shift (6a-2:30p, 2:30p-10p 1p-9p)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cordially greet visitors and patients upon arrival.
Ascertain patients' and or visitors' needs, answer questions, give directions, and assist them accordingly to obtain wheelchairs or other services as needed.
Escort, transport, and assist patients/visitors who need help to their destination within the hospital.
Help patients and visitors with taxis/rideshare or other transportation needs, hotels, restaurants, local events and attractions, and access to the internet.
Manage visitor and patient safety guidelines at facility entrances.
Build positive relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, and staff.
Complete employee, vendor, and visitor verification processes and issue identification badges per facility policies.
Assist vendors as needed.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of experience interacting with the public. Education may be used in lieu of work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
