Welcome Center Customer Service Associate - Student Hourly

Job Description

75% Campus Support:

• Greet visitors and students on campus

• Assist prospective and current students, community members, faculty, and staff with finding resources

• Answer the Welcome and Success Center phones

• Distribute ID cards and diplomas

• Check students in for meetings with advisors and financial aid

• Assist current students in scheduling appointments with advisors, financial aid, and hawk link.

• Continued learning through engagement with campus representatives regarding student support services, resources, policies, etc.

• Assist, as needed, with access to and scheduling of student-centered space on campus

20% Event collaboration and Graphic Design:

• Work with Student Services to share event ideas that connect with the Edwards Campus student population

• Design flyers for campus events

• Create photo posts and reels for student services on Instagram

• Update digital signage when necessary

• Remove and update event flyers around campus

• Provide support to prepare for and deliver student events such as Hawk Week, Hawk Talks, and Graduation

5% Other:

• Other duties as assigned by Associate Deans, supervisor, or School of Professional Studies staff

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite as evidenced in the application materials.

• Previous experience with high quality customer service as evidenced by application materials.

• 2.5 cumulative Grade Point Average.

• Eligible for Federal Work Study through KU Financial Aid.

• During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students.
