JOB SUMMARY:

This position the category leader for wearable technology within the Vital Signs and Patient Monitoring portfolio. This position is focused on but not limited to the development of wearable devices and enabling technologies including associated software, service, and technology offerings. This position will collaborate with relevant upstream product managers, strategic marketing, regional marketing and sales teams, R&D, and service, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of product development of new technologies from customer sensing to concept development through launch strategy. Expert in understanding customer needs and workflows

  • Drives the development of overall wearable device roadmap for new products and new technologies including identification of both organic and inorganic opportunities in collaboration with regional and strategic marketing

  • Develops business plan and financial analysis for new products proposed

  • Marketing lead on requirements definition and R&D project execution

  • Driver of the go-to-market strategy/process, including developing product positioning/messaging for new products

  • Provides oversight to management of product costs, has input to global pricing of applicable portfolio, and margin maintenance. Provides input to 3-year strategic plan.

  • Collaborates with regional marketing on identification and development of evidence based proof points

  • Other duties may be assigned.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

  • 1 direct report.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 years of related professional experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, MBA Preferred

  • Must have demonstrated ability to successfully work with cross functional resources and engage teams across the matrix.

  • Requires knowledge of primary channel(s) for responsible products

  • Effectively leverage and utilize available analytical tools

  • Experience with financial modeling to support New Product Development (NPD) decision making

  • Experience developing product requirements for new technologies preferred

  • Experience in Go to Market effort on an NPD team preferred including international Go to Market strategy

  • Successful use of market analysis techniques such as ethnography, conjoint analysis, etc.
