What we're looking for
The weight room/runner attendant will provide assistance, information and guidance to all customers of the Fitness Center. He/she will be trained with basic knowledge of the weight room and front desk operations.
What you'll do
Maintain knowledge of Sea Colony, refer guests to other areas of Sea Colony. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the equipment in the weight room and aerobics room. Provide information regarding activities and classes. Maintain clean towel inventory. Maintain knowledge of merchandise and services for sale, including prices. Assist in the weight room, spot if needed. Assist front desk. Greet guests and verify membership if needed. Answer phone, act as cashier.
The skills you'll need
Technical computer skills required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices
Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts
Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
Highly responsive and reliable
Strong attention to detail
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Knowledge of fitness equipment preferred but not required
CPR Certification preferred but not required
Work environment and physical demands
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
Reach overhead and below the waist
Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
