Weekend Shift - Assistant Supervisor - Tier 1 - Toledo

Express Employment is looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Supervisor for the Weekend Shift at a Tier 1 manufacturing facility in Toledo, Ohio. This role is essential in driving team performance and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently. You will support the supervisor in overseeing daily operations and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the production team during weekend shifts, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Assign work tasks and monitor performance to achieve production targets
• Provide training and support to team members, fostering their development and adherence to company policies
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Act as a communication link between management and floor workers, addressing any concerns or issues that arise
• Analyze production data and report on operational efficiency
• Encourage a collaborative and positive work atmosphere among team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in manufacturing or management is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes
• Proficiency in using computer systems and production software
• Availability to work weekend shifts regularly
