The Loomis Communities is seeking a talented RN to work in our beautiful 42-bed resident-centered nursing center. We are offering competitive rates, shift differentials , 403B with company match and opportunities for benefits, development and growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Nurse Manager provides ongoing clinical and administrative oversight, along with a team of other professional nurses and CNA's. Oversees the day to day operation on the unit while ensuring resident's needs are being met. Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician). Assists with the hiring, training, ongoing education and supervising of nursing department staff, conducting timely performance reviews, monitoring attendance and adequate staffing to meet residents needs and implementing corrective action in a timely manner.
Monitors and complies with safety regulations, infection control and quality of care through rounds, participation on various committees, discussions and meetings and reporting results of data collected to the ADON/DNS Participates in DPH, OSHA, CARF/CCAC and other survey/inspections and survey processes, working with their neighborhoods to ensure their readiness. Supervises all units in the absence of the other Nurse Manager/ADON/DNS. , taking on-call on a regular rotating basis, which may result in working as a Nurse. Ensures that confidentiality is maintained and resident rights are respected at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Education: RN Preferred Experience: 2-5 years in LTC with managerial experience Licenses Preferred: BSN preferred (Registered Nurse) Skills/Competencies:
Ability to relate well to all residents, staff, visitors and family members, including those emotionally upset and communicate respectfully. Ability to report to work regularly and promptly. Ability to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
