Greater Valley YMCA - is looking to hire a Weekend Maintenance Associate!

Weekend Maintenance Salary: $11.00-$14.00 per hour

Weekend Maintenance Hours: Saturday and Sunday10 AM - 2 PM (Part Time)

Weekend Maintenance Responsibilities:

• Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintaining the upkeep of assigned areas and equipment

• May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, changing light bulbs, and general cleaning

• Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment

• Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed

• Ensures YMCA building and property are secure during shift and reports incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor

• Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies

• May set up furniture for events

• Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned

Weekend Maintenance Qualifications:

• Cleaning and upkeep of interior of facilities

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

• Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment

• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

• Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment skills, and a positive attitude
