Weekend Live-In Nurse

Overview

Now hiring Weekend Live-In Nurse to help with personal care, homemaking and companionship for an elderly couple in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Must have an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts

You are expected to live-in client's home and care for their needs based on a 13 hour workday schedule, 3 days a week for an ongoing basis. This rotation is 3 days on, 4 days off. Must be willing to live in client's home during care. Must be comfortable with pets.

Responsibilities

• Providing services in accordance with policies and procedures and regulations that define scope of practice

• Prepares clinical and progress notes on the relevant and specialized nursing services he/she provides

• Accompanying client to doctor appoinments as needed

• Administration of insulin

• Assist with meal prep as needed

• Assisting the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques as required

• Assessing patient/family response to care

• Ensuring communication of information to appropriate team members

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license, currently active and in good standing

• Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality are strict requirements

• Must have a driver's license

• Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work
