The Office of Marketing and Communications at Colby-Sawyer College is seeking a Website and Brand Manager. Using the college's content management system (CMS), this position maintains and updates Colby-Sawyer's official website (colby-sawyer.edu) and develops new webpages as needed to meet the needs of the college. This position requires the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, other departments on campus and outside vendors. This position is responsible for maintaining the college's online brand integrity on the website and in digital marketing campaigns and provides creative assistance to the college's graphic designer as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the website using Composer CMS.

  • Provide oversight and art direction to the college website with attention to usability, look and feel.

  • Act as primary contact for website vendor support.

  • Provide support to Office of Marketing & Communication CMS users.

  • Design unique and well-crafted visual content that meets the client's needs and supports the college's branding initiatives.

  • Proven ability to design graphics used in mediums ranging from print to digital to web-based projects.

  • Develop and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies for various creative projects and oversee them to completion.

  • Proven track record implementing SEO strategies.

  • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas for branding strategies and other initiatives.

  • Collaborate with departments across campus to obtain knowledge of the clients' project needs and evaluate requests in accordance with the college's marketing strategy.

  • Serve as supervisor to the graphic designer.

  • Assess projects and provide feedback to the creative team, proposing actions for the future.

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media or other relevant field.

  • Three to five years of web design and art direction.

  • Proven experience with managing multiple projects.

  • Experience working in a creative team environment.

  • Experience with creative direction of digital marketing strategies and content.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
