This is an exciting time to work for Amarillo College! We are seeking our next Web Editor who will be all-in on our mission and who will work closely with stakeholders across the College to deliver the best possible website experience to the end user while upholding brand, compliance, style, and SEO guidelines. This includes writing and managing digital content, communicating technical information, advocating for the end user, and improving and maintaining SEO best-practices across the domain.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: Associate Degree in web design, CIS, digital media, or related field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in web design, CIS, digital media, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Two (2) years of experience creating and managing web content for an internal corporate team or an agency.
Preferred: Two (2) years of professional experience in web development and content management within the Higher Education industry. Knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, PHP, CSS, Java Script, and SQL.

Salary: Amarillo College- Salary Schedules (actx.edu), Pay grade 9 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, copy and fax machines, filing cabinets) and is in a high traffic area with continual interruptions. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, and various other educational applications. Work may also be performed outside of the office and with little to no supervision.
